We have accomplished much in the four years since I was elected: safer streets by reducing and stronger enforcement; proactive environmental protection of residents, infrastructure and our streams through the ratification of the LFP Climate Action Plan and incorporation of a Climate Element into the city’s comprehensive plan; a path to affordable housing by approval of new middle housing rules; and greater financial stability for the city itself through careful budgeting. All this was achieved by listening closely to you and your neighbors, and taking action!
We must continue to work on these policies. My priorities include hiring a climate action manager to build resilience to increasing threats, such as flooding, bomb cyclones and wildfire smoke; extending safe street practices to the borders of our city; completing and opening our new lakefront park.
I’m a longtime LFP resident and have been your Councilmember since 2022. I have served as Council Chair and Deputy Mayor for the past six months, and as council liaison to the Climate Action Committee for nearly four years. I have led the Council through difficult discussions on middle housing and the city’s financial stability, which brought forth successful resolutions. With your vote and your voice, I look forward proudly to continuing to serve and lead our community.
